Terms

1. Who you are dealing with
Fineline is provided by Muhammad Gulraize Bilal Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 15584684, registered office 8 Beechfield Street, Manchester, M8 0SG, United Kingdom. Contact us at [email protected].
2. Not legal advice
Fineline is not a law firm, and nothing in it is legal advice. Our view on a fine, the guide and the letters we help you write are general information based on public rules. They may not fit your situation. If a lot rides on a fine, or it has reached court, speak to a solicitor or an advice service such as Citizens Advice.
3. You are in charge of your appeal
- You choose whether to pay, challenge or do nothing.
- You read every letter before you send it, and you send it yourself, in your own name.
- What you say in an appeal must be true. Don’t use Fineline to make false statements, or to deal with fines that aren’t yours unless you are allowed to act for the person they belong to.
- Fineline does not help anyone avoid a legal duty, such as naming the driver on a speeding notice.
4. Check the details
We read letters automatically, and automatic reading can be wrong. Where a letter leaves out a date, we work it out from the usual periods. Always check the dates and amounts against your letter. The deadlines on the letter are the ones that count, and you are responsible for meeting them. Reminders are a help, not a guarantee: an email can arrive late or not at all.
5. Money
Fineline never takes payment for a fine. You pay the issuer directly. Tracking is free, and appeal letters are free while Fineline is in testing. If we start charging for anything, we will tell you the price before you pay it.
6. Your account
Keep your password to yourself. You can delete your account at any time in Account. We may suspend an account that is used to break these terms or the law, and we will tell you why unless the law stops us.
7. Our responsibility
We work to keep Fineline accurate and available, but we can’t promise it will always be either. We are not responsible for a fine you pay, a penalty that goes up, or an appeal that fails. Nothing in these terms limits anything the law does not allow us to limit, including your rights as a consumer.
8. The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
